Spelling strategies to improve personal spellings.

Place value, ordering, rounding, using a calculator, multiplication and division, factors, mental calculations, money problems, fractions, decimals, percentages.

Sounds – how are sounds made and how they travel. Looking at how sounds can be changes and the materials that block sounds.

History:
|
Victorian children and their lives at home. Famous people who helped improve lives. Changes in lifestyles during the Victorian times including major inventions – railways, factories, education.

Geography:
|
A Local Environmental Issue (Parking and Traffic) – map skills identifying the locality on maps of different scales, appreciating different perspectives on the issue, recording and analysing data, potential solutions to the problem.

Technology:
|
Class 5. Studying and making biscuits and pizzas.
|

Music:
|
Examining Musical Contrasts: loud/soft, long/short, fast/slow, thick/thin texture. Sing and play music in 2 or more parts. Chord structure. Music notation: standard notation on the stave.

Gymnastics – Flight, travel and form.
Games – Hockey skills.

Class 6 – Sketching 3D containers/still life. Making a “wish pot”.

Going for Gold. Looking at personal goals.

Alphabet letters, consonants and vowels. Naming classroom objects.

Reading each evening: Your child should bring/take his/her book to and from school each day.
Tables test every week.

P.E. Kit – Please ensure children have warm clothes for outdoor games and plimsolls for indoor P.E. Kit should be brought to school on Monday and taken home for washing on Friday!
Art Activities – Please keep an old shirt or apron in school at all times.
