The PTA exists to give parents a chance to get involved in raising funds for the school , while meeting new people and having fun at the same time. It's very rewarding to help out at the various events and see how our efforts can provide new facilities for the children of both the infants and junior schools.
In 2008 the PTA raised nearly £14,000. This enabled the infants school to purchase a new maypole (to delight us all at the Summer Fete!). This year the infants school has put funds raised by the PTA towards climbing equipment for the playground and outdoor musical instruments. The junior school are building a fantastic wildlife pond on the field and have constructed a traversing wall in the playground. Without the efforts of the parents who volunteer for the PTA, much of this would not be possible. The PTA continue to contribute to the salaries of two classroom assistants.
